Installing ASSP on Windows Server 2003

Obtain the latest ASSP download from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/assp/

Expand the assp download and follow the instructions in the W32-quickstart-guide.txt file

Obtain the latest Perl Software from
http://www.activestate.com/activeperl/downloads/

Install the perl program to c:\perl

Expand the assp download and save to c:\assp

Expand the assp.mod and save in c:\assp\assp.mod

cd \assp\assp.mod\install
install

Note the program does not work with ActivePerl 5.10.1.1006 as there are modules tha will not install

module Digest::MD5 2.39 is installed [OK]
module Email::MIME::Modifier is not installed [FAILED]
module Email::Send is not installed [FAILED]
module Email::Valid is not installed [FAILED]
module File::ReadBackwards 1.04 is installed [OK]
module File::Scan::ClamAV 1.8 is installed [OK]
module LWP::Simple 5.827 is installed [OK]
module MIME::Types 1.28 is installed [OK]
module Mail::SPF is not installed [FAILED]
module Mail::SRS is not installed [FAILED]
module Net::CIDR::Lite is not installed [FAILED]
module Net::DNS is not installed [FAILED]
module Net::IP::Match::Regexp is not installed [FAILED]
module Net::LDAP is not installed [FAILED]
module Net::SMTP 2.31 is installed [OK]
module Net::SenderBase is not installed [FAILED]
module Net::Syslog is not installed [FAILED]
module PerlIO::scalar 0.07 is installed [OK]
module Time::HiRes 1.9719 is installed [OK]
module IO::Socket::SSL is not installed [FAILED]
module Net::Syslog is not installed [FAILED]
module Win32::Daemon 20080324 is installed [OK]


You will need to run the ppm program and click edit Preferences and add the repositories from the list.
and try again.
