all USB Thumb drives unreadable

Postby stephen » Sat Mar 20, 2010 9:35 am

When any USB memory stick is plugged into the computer, Windows XP says the drive needs to be formatted, However these sticks work ok in other computers.

Found some tips here

These suggestions seem the most useful.
I was having the same problem. Went into Device manager, USB contorllers and deleted the USB Mass Storage Device listed there. Plugged the flash drive back in and Roberts your Father's Brother!
