a fix for PC will not start in Safe Mode

Solved Windows XP not starting in Safe Mode
A virus has stopped the Windows XP from detecting the F8 key at boot up so you do not get the Start in Safe mode option.
The fix is to use the SFC command
get to a command prompt and type
SFC /FIXBOOT
