logons very slow after installing windows 2000 SP4
Posted: Mon Jul 24, 2006 10:08 amAfter installing Service Packs on my Windows Server 2000 which runs both terminal server and citrix clients.
The logon process of clients was taking forever the cpu monitor showed the winlogon process consuming 100% CPU usage
the fix was to ring Microsoft quoting Q824309 and they send a patch file which when extracted creates two files this one is the patch to be applied Windows200-KB822428-x86-ENU.exe
The other file contains symbols and is not required to make the patch work.
